Protection of local ecosystems

CESTHA's activities focus on protecting the most endangered habitats and, in the local territories, particular attention is paid to the coastal ecosystems (dunes and lagoons) and to the wetlands, in the local territories.
These activities are designed to protect indigenous biodiversity, addressing to fauna and flora, with programs aimed at reintroducing psammophile vegetation (Pancratium maritimum), from the Odonati classes, up to the varous species of birdlife, also including programs of ex situ conservation, as in the case of the emerald Toad (Bufotes viridis), the common Toad (Bufo bufo), the spadefoot Toad (Pelobates fuscus) and other amphibians living in the valleys of Ravenna. Furthermore, for some years now, CESTHA is collaborating with the municipal administration, on the "Fiumi Uniti Per Tutti" project, which aims to create a river Park along the Ronco and Montone rivers, up to their mouth.
